About Natalija

Helping people discover who they are — and what's possible.

Feeling stuck is often a sign that something within us is calling for change.

I'm a psychoanalytic and CBT psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience across the NHS, the voluntary sector and private practice. At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping people understand themselves more fully — so they can live in a way that feels aligned, empowered and authentic.

I offer a tailored approach, drawing on psychoanalytic therapy, CBT, relational and existential therapy, informed by current research in trauma, attachment and neuroscience.

I know how overwhelming it can feel to make sense of the different therapies out there, especially when you're already in distress. Part of my role in our first session is to help clarify that — and to find the path that genuinely meets your needs.

Trained at The Tavistock NHS and AGIP · MSc Psychology · Registered with BABCP & NCFED · Sessions available in English, Latvian and Russian.

The Approach

Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all.

1

Assessment

We begin with a thorough first session to understand what you're going through and what you hope for.

2

A tailored plan

Together we agree the most helpful direction — drawing on the approaches that fit you, not a fixed method.

3

The work

Compassionate, evidence-based sessions that gently revise the patterns keeping you emotionally stuck.

4

Integration

Towards greater self-esteem, deeper relationships, and a more resilient, settled sense of self.

How I Help

Support across a broad range of emotional and psychological challenges.

The Space

A calm, confidential place to think and be heard.

Sessions take place in a quiet, comfortable consulting room in Pimlico — a setting designed to feel safe, private and unhurried.

For those who prefer it, or who live further afield, the same considered care is available online.

"In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning."
— Viktor Frankl

Common Questions

It's natural to have questions before starting.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed in sessions is treated as strictly confidential, within the standard ethical framework of BABCP-registered practice. The rare legal and safeguarding exceptions are explained clearly at the start, so you always know where you stand.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a relaxed, unhurried conversation about what brings you to therapy and what you'd like to change. It's also a chance to ask questions and see whether it feels like the right fit. There's no commitment beyond that first meeting.

How long does therapy take?

It varies with what you're working on. Some people find focused, short-term work of a few months is enough; others value longer-term, deeper work. We review this together regularly, and the pace is always yours.

Can I have sessions online?

Yes — sessions are available online as well as in person at the Pimlico practice, with the same care and confidentiality. Many people combine the two.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes. The practice is recognised by major insurers including Aviva, AXA, Bupa, Vitality, Healix and Cigna. Self-funding clients are equally welcome.

Can I have therapy in a language other than English?

Yes — sessions are available in English, Latvian and Russian.
