If you have private health insurance with Aviva, you may be able to access psychotherapy with a recognised practitioner. I am a BABCP-registered psychotherapist in central London recognised by Aviva and other major insurers.
Using your Aviva cover
Many Aviva policies include cover for psychological therapies, often requiring a referral from your GP or, with some policies, direct access. The exact terms, session limits and any excess depend on your individual policy, so it is always worth checking with Aviva directly before starting. I'm happy to provide the documentation insurers typically require.
How it works in practice
Once your cover is confirmed, sessions proceed as normal. Depending on your policy, fees may be invoiced to you to reclaim, or in some cases billed to the insurer — we can discuss the arrangement that fits your situation at the initial assessment.
Self-funding is also welcome
If you would rather not involve insurance, or your policy doesn't cover therapy, self-funding clients are equally welcome. Initial assessment £100, individual sessions £90, couples and family therapy £100, online sessions £90.
